Ag a focus of MO trade trip to Panama

Missouri Governor Mike Parson is headed to Panama this weekend and agriculture is a focus of the trade trip.

Parson tells Brownfield he will be meeting with the nation’s ag department to discuss transportation and trade.

“We need to figure out how to expand trade agreements and the Panama Canal is important to us,” he says. “As we expand river ports in Missouri, they’ve also expanded themselves.”

There were $37 million in Missouri goods exported to Panama last year including dairy, grain and oilseed milling products. Parson will be in Panama from August 10 – 13.
