Ag equipment specialist shares optimism for used market in 2025

A sales manager with Big Iron says he’s optimistic about the market outlook for used ag equipment in 2025.

Ryan Harbur tells Brownfield he’s projecting some turnaround in prices.

“I would project a solid growth in machine price performance, because as the inventory levels kind of corrected itself a little bit, we’re starting to see that value push back up,” he says.

He says despite some slowdown over the course of 2024, a lot of ag equipment was sold at auction.

“I think there’s a lot of positivity in the marketplace today, and I think that if we have sellers, particularly farmers, that are contemplating retirement, there’s no better time than the present to start having those conversations and making those preparations.”

Brownfield interviewed Harbur at the National Association of Farm Broadcasting Convention in Kansas City.
