Ag tech company helping farmers extend life of farm machinery

A CEO for an ag technology company says the next generation of farmers is looking for more efficiency in their operations.

Ben Alfi with Fresno, California-based Bluewhite says the company is providing options for farmers who want to use more technology to meet the needs of their farms.

“We’ve found out that the labor shortage is just growing dramatically in a way that autonomy is not questionable,” he says. “The need is significant.”

Alfi says the company uses aftermarket technology which integrates hardware and software into a single end-to-end platform, that is capable of working with most machinery.

“There is no reason to force them on (to buy) another tractor, when you wanted this tractor to last a decade,” he says. “We are blending in and maximizing whatever asset that you have.”

Alfi says the technology is also aimed at improving worker safety, as more farmers opt to distance themselves from any chemicals or other barriers in the field.
