AgroLiquid turns 40

The head of AgroLiquid says as the fertilizer industry evolves, the company continues to focus on improving the efficiency of products.

Nick Bancroft is President and CEO of the Michigan-based company.

“We need to continue to do what AgroLiquid has done for the last 20 years, which is use higher quality products to create more yield with less applied nutrition,” he says.

The company began focusing on foliar fertilizer for specialty crops in 1983 and gathered at its headquarters in St. Johns with employees from across the nation to celebrate its 40th anniversary during the recent AgroExpo.

Bancroft tells Brownfield they expect to build a new production facility in the Southeast in the next year and continue to reinvest in their employees and customers.

“The crops have created more demand for nutrition as yields have increased,” he shares.  “That’s made it more important to have a wider view of fertility, to include micronutrients that we wouldn’t always think of before.”

He says the organization today includes North America’s largest plant nutrition research farm and manufactures specialty and row crop plant nutrition products in Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, North Dakota, and California.
