Agronomy Week is April 2-6

Farmers will have the opportunity to recognize the agronomic experts who help them succeed each growing season during Agronomy Week from April 2-6.

Launched last year by DEKALB, Asgrow, and Deltapine brands, Agronomy Week is an industry-wide celebration, says brand lead Pete Uitenbroek.

“Whether it’s your local seed dealer or agronomist, they are  people who are key throughout the year to help in those critical times to make decisions or monitor your crop to make sure you get the most out of every acre,” he says. “We wanted to build a mechanism to acknowledge that.”

He tells Brownfield farmers are invited to nominate up to three people.

“Regardless of the seed brand you plant, we really encourage farmers to nominate those folks,” he says.

Uitenbroek says farmers can nominate their agronomic team at AgronomyWeek.com, or by using #AgronomyWeek and #contest on Facebook or Twitter.

Farmers who participate will be entered in a sweepstakes for tickets to a NASCAR race. NASCAR Driver Clint Bowyer continues to support Agronomy Week.
