Allendale releases producer yield survey results
Marketing firm Allendale has released results of its nationwide producer yield survey. Allendale’s Rich Nelson says the numbers are very close to USDA’s August estimates.
“The numbers imply slightly lower than USDA’s August estimate on corn. And they implied, in the case of soybeans, slightly higher than USDA’s August estimate,” Nelson says.
Allendale’s survey shows a corn yield of 177.7 and total corn production of 14.53 billion bushels. On soybeans, the numbers are 52.17 bushels per acre and a total crop of 4.64 billion bushels.
Alllendale’s survey was conducted August 20-31.
