Andy White named 2026 Michigan Master Pork Producer
A Michigan pork producer says he’d like to see profitability continue throughout the year as projected.
Andy White operates a farrow-to-finish hog operation and raises 3,200 acres of row crops with his family in Cass County.
“That could all change with a tweet,” he points out. “That could all change with any announcement. We export 30% of our product, and so those things become pretty important when we are talking about world trade and world issues.”
The 40-year-old was recently recognized as one of the youngest Michigan Master Pork Producers winners and tells Brownfield he’s grateful to carry his sixth-generation farm forward.
“We get to feed people, he shares. “And, whether it’s in your own community, in your own house, your neighbors, with your friends, or it’s exported product that you’ll get—we get to raise a nutritious product that tastes good, from a protein standpoint is affordable to a lot of people, and we take pride in that.”
White has owned Rolling Meadows Farms since 2009 and served on the Michigan Pork Producers Council for more than a decade.
Brownfileld interviewed White as part of the recent Michigan Pork Symposium where he was recognized.
