Arians wins ILFB discussion meet
Even though he lived in town, Washburn, Ill.’s Sean Arians passion for agriculture began at a young age working on his uncle’s farm.
A passion for Farm Bureau was sparked in high school when he attended the youth and affiliates conference. “And then, our county Farm Bureau manager got me involved, after high school in the Young Leader program,” he says. “I became a chair at the county level and sat on the board with that. I moved away after college to take a job in Indiana and once I moved back, I got involved at the county level and represented our district. And then that last year on the committee served as chair.”
And, he tells Brownfield those experiences served as the best preparation for this year’s discussion meet.
Arians will compete on the national level in San Diego at the American Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in January.
