AT&T delivers $25,000 check to Minnesota FFA Foundation
The Minnesota FFA Foundation received a $25,000-dollar contribution from AT&T to support youth ag career exploration programs.
AT&T state president Paul Weirtz presented the check during Farmfest.
“AT&T is committed to providing tools and resources to our young people to help them realize the things that are in the workforce that they can explore. Science, technology, engineering, mathematics.”
In 2015, AT&T provided the Foundation $20,000 dollars.
Minnesota FFA state secretary Laura Church of Hastings tells Brownfield she’s extremely grateful.
“I’ve seen the impact firsthand of the difference with a community that has agriculture education and how that support comes with all the community members.”
FFA state vice president Keegan Zimmerman of Lamberton says AT&T sees that FFA has a lot to offer.
“We provide leaders for the future, no matter where you’re going. Students may come through FFA programs, but not all of them go back into agriculture. But we can provide leaders for every industry in America and the world.”
Weirtz says Minnesota FFA does an outstanding job developing leaders and AT&T is delighted to support those efforts.
