Aurora Coop reacts to Aventine bankruptcy

The Aurora Co-op, based at Aurora, Nebraska, says its overall financial position will not be affectedby the bankruptcy of Aventine Renewable Energy. Aventine owns the Nebraska Energy ethanol plant at Aurora, and Aurora Coop supplies corn and markets co-products for the plant.

Coop officials say they anticipate the continued operation of the Aurora plant and will continueto work with it, “assuming adequate assurances within the bankruptcy proceedings”.
