Axiota Animal Health to base global operations in Kansas

A biomanufacturing company focused on cattle health is moving its global headquarters to the Great Plains.

Axiota Animal Health recently announced it will name its Wamego, Kansas, research and development and scientific operations facility as the central office.

In a statement, CEO Bill Waldon says the relocation will drive innovation and attract top talent in the region due to its location near the KC Animal Health Corridor and Kansas State University. He says it will help develop and produce new technology to help producers improve herd health.

Kimberly Young, president of the KC Animal Health Corridor, says the company’s decision will help increase product development and collaboration with other businesses. The corridor is a hub that stretches from Manhattan to Columbia, Missouri, and is home to the world’s largest concentration of animal health assets.

Axiota Animal Health provides products to cattle producers in more than 30 countries.
