BASF & partners look to future with CORE Synergy

The head of human resources for BASF says a new partnership is aimed at better preparing the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Courtney White says the company is teaming with Agriculture Future of America (AFA) and MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) to form CORE Synergy.

“CORE ultimately represents Creative, Open, Responsible, and Entrepreneurship.”  He says, “These are values that we think are vital to how we move the not only organizations, but industry forward.”

He tells Brownfield it’s an investment into the workforce of the future.

“Everyone’s talking about labor, so here’s an opportunity for us to stand up and be a part of what we believe will be one of the solutions offered to how we create sustainability in this area,” he says.

White says with BASF’s support MANRRS and AFA will streamline existing programs and work to develop new collaborative lessons for students.

“The industry is an ecosystem, but both MANRRS and AFA are poised to supply the talent needed in that ecosystem around leadership.”  He says, “And so that’s why it just makes more sense than not.”

He says CORE Synergy will begin in January 2025, with plans for expanded programming through 2030.
