Bayer loses Georgia Roundup case
A Georgia jury has awarded more than $2 billion in compensation and damages to the plaintiff in a Bayer Roundup case.
The plaintiff, John Barnes, originally filed suit in 2021 against Monsanto claiming the glyphosate-based herbicide caused his cancer. Reports indicate the order from the Georgia jury is one of the largest-ever Roundup settlements.
Bayer has said it will appeal the verdict.
