Bayer petitions Supreme Court to dismiss Roundup cases

Bayer has filed a petition with the US Supreme Court to dismiss cases against its herbicide, Roundup.

The company says there have been conflicting rulings in recent cases, which is why Supreme Court intervention is needed.

Bayer says previous verdicts have overlooked federal law and ignored EPA regulations.

This is the third time Bayer has petitioned the Supreme Court. The previous two filings have been dismissed.

There are currently 67,000 cases pending against Bayer and the company has already paid $10 billion in settlements.
