Bayer’s Science Delivers campaign highlights importance of ag innovation
A new campaign from Bayer is raising awareness about misinformation in the ag industry.
Jess Christiansen, head of sustainability and crop science communications, says Science Delivers helps individuals separate fact from fiction.
“We’re really trying to educate people whether you’re a consumer or are in the ag industry and make sure people understand where they can go to look at data,” she says. “Whether it’s our own data or it’s third party, there’s tremendous amounts of peer reviewed data.”
She tells Brownfield the initiative emphasizes the importance of innovation.
“Real science doesn’t ask for trust, it proves it,” she says. “We need sound and consistent regulatory processes that are based on science. They have to be based on facts. If we don’t have that, innovation will not continue to flow to farmers.”
Christiansen says the initiative also includes a Declaration on Science, which is the company’s commitment to continue creating new agricultural advancements.
