Beck to receive NAMA’s highest honor
The National Agri-Marketing Association has honored Sonny Beck, president of Beck’s Hybrids as the 2014 Agribusiness Leader of the Year. The award recognizes outstanding leaders in agribusiness, education, government service or other agribusiness related areas who exemplify excellence in agribusiness by the contributions to the industry.
Beck has led his company to unprecedented growth. Under his leadership, Beck’s Hybrids has experienced a 20 percent increase in sales each year for the last 20 years. They are the largest family-owned seed company in the United States and the sixth largest seed company in the US.
In addition, his dedication to agriculture extends beyond his own company, serving and providing leadership to several agricultural organizations.
Beck will be honored at the Opening General Session of the 2014 Agri-Marketing Conference in Jacksonville, FL this April.
