Beck’s Hybrids helping farmers navigate lower prices

The president of Beck’s Hybrids says they’re focused on helping farmers navigate lower profitability.                   

Scott Beck knows farmers are feeling the squeeze of lower commodity prices.

“It’s really a holistic approach to partnering with farmers to help us go through the tougher times together,” he says.

He tells Brownfield interest is increasing in the Beck’s commitment rewards program that can help farmers with infrastructure purchases.

“When times are tougher your working capital and improving your working capital position is critical and that’s really what commitment rewards does.”  He says, “It’s buying power that farmers enable us to get to negotiate better prices and we pass those on to the farmer.”

Beck says the company’s PFR Proven research is another way farmers can impact their bottom line.

“That means the likelihood of that product or practice improving a farmer’s return on investment is very high,” he says.
