Better corn and soybean conditions in MO

Missouri’s corn and soybean conditions continued to improve in the last week.

USDA says the corn crop is rated 77% good to excellent, a slight improvement from the previous week. Corn is 13% silking, ahead of average.

The condition of Missouri’s soybean crop is rated 75% good to excellent, also an improvement from the previous week. Three percent of the soybeans are blooming with 85% of the crop emerged.

Cotton conditions are rated 56% good, a slight decline from the previous week with 24% of the cotton squaring. Rice conditions are rated 72% good to excellent.

Winter wheat harvest is 76% complete, well ahead of average. The winter wheat condition is rated 82% good to excellent.
