Don Boehm of Findlay has been named the 2019 CCA of the Year by the Ohio Certified Crop Adviser program.

Boehm, the crop protection manager at Legacy Farmers Cooperative, has more than 30 years of crop advising experience.

He’s currently responsible for weed management recommendations, soil sampling and scouting, developing implementation strategies for 4R principles, and finding ways to use new technology for customers.

David Wurm says Boehm practices what he preaches and uses nitrogen and phosphorus efficiency practices on his own farm.

Boehm leads the Ohio AgriBusiness Association’s agronomy subcommittee and serves on the industry education planning committee.

Logan Haake, chairman of the Ohio CCA board, says Boehm represents the very best of Ohio CCAs.

The award recognizes someone who is highly motivated and delivers exceptional customer service in nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management, and crop production.

The program is administered by the Ohio AgriBusiness Association.
