Caruso named FSA Administrator
The new USDA Farm Service Agency administrator is from Wisconsin. Doug Caruso was Wisconsin FSA Executive Director for eight years during the Clinton Administrationserving more than 100,000 farmers and landowners through 60 offices in the state. He was instrumental in the implementation of the Milk Income Loss Contract (MILC) program and in 2000 was honored by FSA as “Outstanding State Executive Director”.
With the change ofadministration in 2001, Caruso left FSA and has been CEO of Wisconsin Farmers Union Specialty Cheese. Caruso is a member of the USDA/USTR Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee on Dairy and of the International Dairy Committee.
