Cattle producers interested in emission regulation roll-back
Missouri Cattlemen’s Association President Jeff Reed tells Brownfield livestock producers would like to see the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency address emission regulations.
“We truck cattle and grain across the United States and anytime vehicle manufacturers have some sort of emission system put on them, it requires extra filtration systems to make it a cleaner vehicle. That’s hindered the performance and reliability of those vehicles,” he says. “I think the administration is reaching out to manufacturers to roll things back.”
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin didn’t get specific with the plan during a roundtable in eastern Missouri on Tuesday, but Reed says he’s optimistic the administration will tackle the issue.
