Chinn to MO FFA: “Embrace Your Journey”

At the opening session of the Missouri FFA Convention, Missouri’s Ag Director Chris Chinn told FFA members to embrace the journey.

“It’s ok to step through that unknown territory and explore where your journey might lead you.”

Chinn said she had initially planned to work outside of agriculture and life’s circumstances changed that.

“I realized my heart was actually at home in Shelby County, so I changed my career path and never regretted it for one second.”

She said when the next generation focuses on their differences, developing those talents and gaining confidence to pursue different paths, they can use that to positively impact agriculture.

Chinn also tells Brownfield “I think we have a very strong path to a great, vibrant ag industry in Missouri. The youth here in Columbia have so much excitment, enthusiasm and passion. The knowledge they have at their fingertips today allow them to do so many unique things to tell the story of agriculture.”

The theme for the Missouri State FFA Convention this week is “embrace your journey.”
