Chomps facility coming to mid-Missouri

A meat snack brand is partnering with Western Smokehouse Partners to build a new manufacturing facility in central Missouri.

Chomps makes beef, turkey and venison snack sticks. This new facility will make those snacks and it’s expected to be completed in 2025. The 300,000 square foot facility will be one of the largest manufacturing sites for the brand.

Chomps says Mexico, Missouri was chosen for the space that could be retrofitted to meet USDA certification requirements, along with strong local community support and the location can support nationwide growth in retail and e-commerce.

A press release says the manufacturing facility will provide 250 new jobs to mid-Missouri.
