CLAAS agrees to AFBF MOU
CLAAS of America has joined several farm equipment manufacturers in signing a memorandum of understanding with the American Farm Bureau Federation to give farmers the right to repair their own equipment.
The agreement creates a framework for farmers and independent repair facilities to provide access to resources to self-diagnose and self-repair machines.
AFBF has agreements also in place with John Deere, CNH Industrial Brands (which includes Case IH and New Holland), AGCO, and Kubota. Combined, they cover nearly three-quarters of ag machinery sold in the U.S.
