CNH to lay off part of Fargo workforce

The down ag economy is impacting another equipment manufacturing site.  CNH is reducing its workforce at the Fargo, North Dakota plant.

In a statement to Brownfield, the company says, “CNH has announced workforce reductions at its Fargo, ND facility due to current and anticipated market conditions. Employees were notified last week, with approximately 198 hourly positions affected. CNH is dedicated to supporting these individuals during their transition.”

The Fargo plant builds tractors and loaders for the agriculture and construction industries.

The Fargo layoffs are in addition to permanent layoffs of 175 workers next month at its Benson, Minnesota facility.
