Co-Alliance scholarship deadline April 30

High School students who are children or grandchildren of Co-Alliance members have until April 30 to submit an application for the co-op’s 2009 scholarship program.

“These Co-Alliance Solutions Scholarships will positively benefit our member-families, ourcommunities and our industry as a whole. It is one of the best ways we can live up to our four guiding principles: to lead our markets, grow member profitability, give back to communities and remember our cooperative roots,” said Co-Alliance CEO Kevin A. Still. “We’re investing in a brightfuture.”

The cooperative announced earlier an initiative to distribute $20,000 in scholarships. The one-time, $1,000 scholarships will be presented to college bound high school seniors.

To qualify, applicants must graduate by June 2009,demonstrate leadership and ability, complete an application/essay and provide two character references.
