Corn and soybean conditions improve in MO
Missouri’s corn and soybean conditions continue to improve heading into what’s typically one of the warmest months of the growing season.
USDA says corn conditions are rated 78% good to excellent with 35% of the corn silking and some of the crop reaching dough stage. Soybean conditions are rated 76% good to excellent with 14% of the soybeans blooming.
Cotton conditions are rated 60% good, an increase from the previous week, with 42% of the crop squaring. Rice conditions are rated 79% good to excellent with 1% of the crop headed.
Winter wheat harvest is 92% complete, ahead of the five-year average.
