Corn harvest begins in Illinois

USDA data shows combines began rolling in Illinois last week with 2% of corn harvested as of Sunday.

Ninety-two percent of the corn crop is dented and 37% has reached maturity. USDA rates Illinois corn 72% good to excellent.

Soybean conditions saw a three-point increase week over week at 71% good to excellent. Forty-nine percent of the crop is turning color with 17% dropping leaves.

Pasture conditions also improved from the week before jumping from 42 to 49% good to excellent.
