Corn mill blast claims 4th victim

 

Another worker has died after last week’s explosion and fire at Didion Milling in Cambria, Wisconsin.

Company spokesperson Margaret Fritsch confirmed that pack operator Angel Reyes died Tuesday while hospitalized at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.  As of Tuesday, four employees remain hospitalized.

The community is also mourning the loss of  Pawel Tordoff,  Robert Goodenow, and Duelle Block.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the cause of the blast.

More than 40% of the corn grown in three Wisconsin counties is processed by Didion Milling into food products, pet food, and ethanol.
