Corn planting underway in Missouri

Missouri’s corn planting has begun under cool, dry conditions with one percent of the crop in.

In USDA’s first crop report of the season, the department says 92 percent of topsoil moisture was adequate and 90 percent of subsoil moisture is adequate.

Winter wheat is rated 54 percent good to excellent.
