Corn, soybean planting almost finished in Nebraska

Corn and soybean planting is wrapping up across Nebraska as spotty showers helped improve drought conditions.

USDA says 92 percent of the corn crop has emerged with 63 percent rated good-to-excellent.

Eighty-five percent of soybeans are up, and 58 percent are in good-to-excellent shape.

Winter wheat condition slipped to 28 percent good-to-excellent.

Pasture and range conditions are rated 40 percent good-to-excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 47 percent adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 29 percent adequate-to-surplus.
