Coronavirus MFP being floated

The Trump Administration says it is formulating a plan to help the U.S. economy through the coronavirus pandemic.

South Dakota U.S. Senator John Thune told reporters this week that could include a continuation of the Market Facilitation Program.

“There are lots of good ideas on the table, and we’re working as quickly as possible to deliver an effective and targeted response to this outbreak and to meet the American peoples’ needs.”

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin says the White House is considering sending millions of Americans checks, with the amount determined by income and family size.

The President signed a coronavirus relief bill into law Wednesday that addresses food and nutrition needs, provides paid sick leave for impacted workers, and provides free testing for the coronavirus.
