Cotton harvest begins in Arkansas
Cotton harvest is officially underway in Arkansas.
The USDA reports as of Sunday 1% of the crop is harvested in line with last year and slightly behind the 5-year average. Arkansas cotton is rated 65% good to excellent.
Corn harvest is 78% complete with 97% of the crop at maturity.
19% of peanuts are dug with the crop rated 72% good to excellent.
Rice harvest is 58% complete and 78% is considered good to excellent.
Soybeans are 15% harvested with a 57% good to excellent rating.
Winter wheat planting is also underway with 1% complete, in line with average.
