Culver’s and pork producers team up for promotion
Pork producer groups in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin are teaming up with Culver’s restaurants in those three states on a special October Pork Month “Bacon-Up” promotion.
Emily Patterson, Culver’s marketing director, says customers will be encouraged to add bacon to their burger or other sandwich orders throughout the month.
“Everything is better with bacon,” Patterson says, “and you can add bacon to any sandwich in our restaurant.”
Patterson says Culver’s pork tenderloin sandwich will also be featured.

Kelsey Sutter, marketing director for the Iowa Pork Producers Association, says the Culver’s promotion works well with their other Pork Month activities.
“It’s another way to add awareness that it’s national Pork Month and to celebrate pork production here in Iowa and throughout the Midwest,” Sutter says. “Culver’s just does a really good job supporting farmers and local production and that’s why we’re excited to partner with them.”

In addition to the in-store promotions, Culver’s has also produced a video introducing consumers to Midwest pork producers and providing an inside look at modern hog barns and production practices. The video will be featured on Culver’s website, Facebook page and YouTube channel starting October 1st.
