Director Daniels shares Ohio success stories

At the Midwest Association of State Departments of Agriculture (MASDA) meeting in Indiana over the weekend, not only did directors talk about the challenges in their states, they also talked about success stories.

“So we get an opportunity to work with them when we find out their doing some export things that we would like to jump on and be a part of,” said David Daniels, Director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA). “We know now we’ve got a connection to those other states and what they are doing.”

Director Daniels also tells Brownfield that he shared some Ohio success stories as well.

“We talked about the new export facility that’s going on in Wilmington and our opportunity to increase our exports by almost 367 percent over the course of last year, that’s huge,” Daniels said. “We’ve got Blue Grass Farms down in Washington Court House that just signed one of the largest contracts with Korea to provide food grade soybeans.”
