Domestic ethanol production up on week
U.S. ethanol production continues to run at a very high pace.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration says last week’s production was up 10,000 barrels on the week, topping an average of a million barrels a day for the fourth week in a row at 1.020 million barrels.
Corn’s readily available at a reasonable price to maintain margins and demand is on pace to exceed what the USDA is currently projecting for the marketing year.
Stocks were up slightly on the week at 22.763 million barrels.
The USDA’s next set of supply and demand estimates is out June 9th.
