E15 deadline arrives as industry awaits congressional action

Attendees of the National Ethanol Conference in Orlando are anxiously awaiting an update from the Rural Domestic Energy Council on year-round, nationwide E15. 

Renewable Fuels Association CEO Geoff Cooper says time is running out for the council to move forward with E15 legislation.

“So this council was given a deadline of February 25th, today, to bring compromise legislation to a vote on the House Floor. Well, as of 8AM this morning we still haven’t seen a bill.”

He says the message to Congress is clear.

“Year-round, nationwide E15 is an urgent priority for America’s farmers, energy sector, and working families, and it can’t wait any longer. Unleash E15, let’s get this done.”
