EPA puts two-year delay on WOTUS rule
The EPA has put a two-year delay on the Obama administration’s Waters of the U.S. rule, a move applauded by American Farm Bureau.
The National Wildlife Federation, Natural Resources Defense Council and American Rivers have pledged to fight the delay in court.
Farm Bureau president Zippy Duvall says the delay provides “certainty” to farmers and ranchers while the 2015 WOTUS rule is rewritten.
The environmental groups say the delay provides no certainty, denying protections for public health and safety under the Clean Water Act.
