EPA resetting multiple committees

EPA administrator Michael Regan is directing the agency to reestablish memberships for the Science Advisory Board and the Clean Air Scientific Advisory Committee.

The EPA points to ‘process irregularities’ that led Regan to direct the Science Advisory Board’s staff office to release current SAB and CASAC members. Regan says the move is part of his commitment to making sure every EPA decision meets rigorous scientific standards.

The EPA says it is grateful for the service provided by the current committee members and encourages all interested parties to apply for new membership.
