Equipment specialist expects more used machinery to hit the market

An equipment specialist says he expects more used machinery to come to market the next few months.

Tim Meyer is a sales representative with Sullivan Auctioneers.

“We’ve seen a lot of equipment come onto the market from dealers in the last two or three months. The dealers are pulling back a little bit. It’s a pretty good haircut going on right now. I think we’ll see more equipment come onto the market for a lot of reasons here in the next two to three months.”

He tells Brownfield some farmers are facing some financial pressures.

“There’s going to be a little more stress. I know banks are loaning out a lot more money than they were a year ago. Just for a lot of reasons, I mean input costs continue to go up.”

Meyer says there could be some buying opportunities moving forward.
