Ethanol exports down on month, still all-time June high
U.S. ethanol exports dipped from May to June.
The Renewable Fuels Association says ethanol exports of 145.9 million gallons were 6% below May, but still the largest on record for the month of June.
Canada took in its lowest volume for 2024 to date, while still claiming the top slot for the 39th month in a row. The United Kingdom, European Union, India, and Colombia rounded out the top five and all saw month-to-month improvements.
Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 945,592 tons, a decline of 7% on the month, with Mexico leading the way, followed by South Korea, Indonesia, China, and Vietnam.
For the year to date, U.S. ethanol exports are 962.8 million gallons, 41% ahead of last year’s pace, with DDGS exports at 5.87 million tons, up 15% on the year.
