Ethanol exports maintain fast pace
U.S. ethanol exports during May were record large for the month.
The Renewable Fuels Association says 184.7 million gallons of ethanol left U.S. shores in May, rising 7% from April, with Canada maintaining its status as the top destination.
Shipments to the United Kingdom and Colombia were also up on the month, but movement to the European Union and South Korea declined.
Imports of 30,988 gallons were mostly denatured ethanol from Canada.
Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 918,108 tons, 3% higher than the previous month, mainly to Mexico, South Korea, and Indonesia.
For 2025 to date, U.S. ethanol exports are 10% ahead of 2024 at 889.5 million gallons, while DDGS exports are 7% slower than last year at 4.5 million tons.
