Expanding agritourism in Indiana
The director of rural development in Indiana says expanding agritourism will benefit the state’s economy.
Terry Goodin tells Brownfield the more people know about agriculture, the more connected they are to the industry.
“Indiana produces the food, the fiber and the fuel that clothes, transports and that feeds the world, not just Indiana or America. It feeds the world,” he says. “So we want to make sure that everybody understands how important that is as we move forward.”
He says there is very little agritourism across the state and is a growth opportunity for the industry.
Brownfield interviewed Terry Goodin, Indiana’s Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor at Indiana Pork’s Ham Breakfast on the opening day of the Indiana State Fair.
