Farm Advisors officially launches new farmer mentorship program
A new conservation mentor program will help farmers implement soil health practices on their operation.
Jim Moseley says the people who founded Farm Advisors have decades of experience in on-farm conservation practices.
“They’re going to assist other farmers in terms of conservation,” he says. “All activity decisions will be made by farmers.”
He tells Brownfield the program was developed with farmers in mind.
“We put together why it’s important and we got to know one another and that led eventually to a group that was involved in putting governance issues on the table and resolving some of those,” he says.
The program is currently operating under the Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative. For more information visit farmadvisors.ag.
