Farmer hasn’t had disruptions but is taking extra precautions
Western Indiana Farmer Kevin Cox says he hasn’t experienced supply disruptions on his farm despite the coronavirus pandemic.
“We got very aggressive early on in getting the supplies we were going to need shipped in,” he says.
He tells Brownfield they wanted to get inputs on the farm early because many retailers they work with have a company policy to shut down for two weeks if a worker tests positive for COVID-19.
Cox says they are taking extra precautions against the virus.
“I’ve never used so much hand sanitizer, Lysol disinfectant wipes, and stuff like that in my life to keep from taking any extra exposure or risk,” he says.
Cox grows corn and soybeans in Clay and Parke counties.
