Missouri man involved in cattle scam found in CA

A Missouri man wanted by the FBI for his connection with a nationwide cattle fraud scheme was arrested earlier this week at the Los Angeles International Airport.

Joshua Link of Stafford, Missouri has been charged with wire fraud and money laundering charges. Link worked with others to wire money to purchase property.

Earlier this year, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas said thousands of investors, ranchers and others in the cattle industry across the country were affected by the scheme.  Authorities allege the suspects used false promises to attract clients and then, diverted the funds for personal use.

Others named in the indictment include: Tia Link, of Smithton, Missouri, Taylor Bang of Kildeer, North Dakota, Royanna Thomas of Arlington, Texas, and Jed Wood of Fort Worth, Texas.
