Fluid milk sales up 

Fluid milk sales were higher during the first four months of 2024.  The National Milk Producers Association says consumers drank almost 100 million pounds more milk than a year ago, or about seven-tenths of a percent more than 2023 during that period.   

The dairy organization says fluid milk sales were higher than last year in January, February, and April, with April sales alone totaling nearly 200-million pounds. 

Domestic consumption for most other dairy products fell during the first four months of the year except for yogurt and non-American types of cheese.
