Food Dialogues head to Boston

The US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance takes their next Food Dialogues to Boston later this week.  This focus of this installment is “Farm Size: Does it Really Matter?”.  Indiana farmer Leah Beyer, who farms with her husband Matt in Shelby County, Ind. will be participating in the panel.

Bob Stallman, chairman of USFRA and president of the American Farm Bureau Federation says this is one of the strongest panels yet.  “The purpose of the Food Dialogues events is to join in balanced discussions on provocative topics like farm size, and our goal is to create a conversation that examines this subject from all angles.”  Stallman says by holding the event on Food Day their reach will be even further.

The October 24th discussion will from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

The panelists include:

•          Leah Beyer, Farmer, Shelby County, Ind.
•          Jamie Cruz, Owner/Grower, Springdell Farm, Littleton, Mass.
•          Michael Jacobson, Founder, Food Day and Executive Director, CSPI
•          Bill Luckey, Farmer, Columbus, Neb.
