Governors urge EPA to issue nationwide waiver for E15, expanded use of E10

A group of Midwestern governors has asked the Environmental Protection Agency to issue a nationwide emergency waiver for summertime sales of higher blends of ethanol.
The governors say the waiver would allow sales of E15 and expand the use of E10.
The letter, sent to EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin on Wednesday, says the waivers will help improve the nation’s fuel shortage, provide regulatory certainty for fuel suppliers and lower the cost at the pump for consumers.
The letter was signed by Kim Reynolds of Iowa, Jim Pillen of Nebraska, Mike Kehoe of Missouri, Tony Evers of Wisconsin, Tim Walz of Minnesota, Larry Rhoden of South Dakota and JB Pritzker of Illinois.
