Grassley calls Trump meeting “significant” for year-round E15 effort
U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley says biofuel stakeholders met with President Trump Thursday to discuss permanent year-round E15 legislation.
The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield the meeting is significant.
“So I’m hoping that we get something out of the White House that the President says he wants this legislation passed.”
He calls nationwide E15 an easy lift for the President.
“Because he has twice given waivers on it, and Biden gave four years of waivers. That means nationwide year-round instead of cutting off the sale during the three months of the summer.”
Grassley says nationwide E15 legislation would bring certainty to fuel retailers that would need to invest money to see that every filling station can offer the higher ethanol blend.
